Straight answers to what people ask before they put their name on a link. bmeet is part of bstack, made and run by one person: me, Matias Barragan. The legal version is the Privacy Policy.
Does anyone need an account?
No. Not to make an event and not to answer one. The organizer gets a private link that lets them change the event, and this browser remembers it.
What is stored, and where
The event as the organizer typed it, and each answer: a name and Yes, If needed or No for each time. They sit in a database at Neon, and note pictures in Tigris storage. Anyone with the link sees every name and answer. The keys that change an event or an answer are stored scrambled, so a copy of the database can't change anything.
If you sign in and turn on Save to my account, your events are also listed in your account so you can open them anywhere. The top of the page says Saving to your account while that is on.
When is it deleted?
One hour after the event ends, with every answer and picture. If no time was confirmed, that is an hour after the last suggested time. The page says the exact time. The organizer can delete it sooner. If the organizer signed in and turned on Save to my account, the event stays in their account until they delete it, and the page says that instead.
How bmeet makes money
It doesn't. bmeet is free and stays free. Later I plan an optional paid bstack Pro for things that cost money to run. Nothing you can do today will move behind it. There are no ads, and I never sell your data.
No AI
bmeet has no AI in it. It shows the times and the answers people give.
Is it open source?
Not today. If that changes, this page will say so. Questions go to mati@barragan.com.py.
